Are you living your boldest life?
Your best life?
Or are you silently comparing yourself to someone else?
Social media makes it easy for us to compare ourselves to everyone else. Doesn’t everyone often appear happier, fitter, smarter, luckier, and their vacations definitely seem amazing! So what do we do? Blame social media? Cut it off? I’ll be the first to admit, taking a break from social media can be a good thing. But I would rather see you try live YOUR bold life and have peace and self confidence, and maybe even PRIDE. So much pride that you can be happy with yourself and stop this dangerous comparison game. BUT… this takes work that I know you can do if you put your mind to it. I want to inspire you to look at yourself in a new light.
I want to inspire you TO LIVE YOUR BEST AND BOLDEST LIFE. I believe doing this creates confidence and joy. And this leads to motivation. And can lead to an internal happiness. The quality of your future depends on what you focus on now. And I encourage you to set goals to live more boldly.
“Comparison is the Thief of Joy”
“Lean into becoming who you were meant to be. You are not here to be someone else. Put all of your energy into what you are doing not into what others are doing.” – Oprah Winfrey
If you are constantly comparing yourself to others, then you have simply forgotten who you are. Or you have forgotten your strengths and what makes you unique. So take a few minutes to take a deeper look and remember them. Put your ENERGY into remembering YOU.
To truly find your gifts, strengths, passions and live your BOLDEST life, you may have to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. This may be scary, but it’s so worth it! The result of Being Bold is accomplishing what you never thought you could. Now that’s a great feeling. The confidence you experience will inspire YOU. There is no substitute for inspiration.
This is about being the best YOU, but not about being perfect. One thing I have discovered that holds people back, crushes drive and causes misconceptions of success? The idea of PERFECTION. I have good news for you. Perfection is a lie. It is a myth. And its significance is highly overrated.
“Perfect does not exist! We must walk into the arena (whatever that means for you) rather than sitting on the sidelines and hurling judgements. We must DARE TO SHOW UP. …And if you dare to show up, you WILL have failure.” – Brene Brown from her book Daring Greatly
I believe this has two parts. Physical and mental health, which are equally important. How can you possibly be bolder, happier, step out of your comfort zone and try anything new, if you simply don’t feel well? This goes back to last month’s newsletter featuring tips on how to be your own health advocate.
Let’s talk about your mental health. I have two words: PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT There is so much to learn from many amazing authors, speakers, podcasts and personal coaches. Don’t stop yourself from living boldly! Focus on what you can do! Two of my favorite authors to help inspire you: Brenee Brown Daring Greatly Jen Sincero You Are a Badass
These 4 topics are so important, but they all culminate in BELIEVING in yourself! This is perhaps the BIGGEST obstacle. If you don’t believe in YOU, who will? Do you even realize what A BADASS you are? You have to!!!
“It is just as easy to believe we are awesome as we are giant sucking things? It takes the same amount of energy either way! So if you are going to spend the energy, focus on the positive, not the negative.” – Jen Sincero
But it takes practice! Start practicing today by replacing those negative thoughts with your list of strengths that you came up with from tip #1. Above all it takes LIVING BOLDY and trying new things to take back control.
I challenge you to pick one area that you will begin to live your BOLDEST life! What will it be? Believe in yourself. YOU can do it!
Meet Cheryl Kelly!
Im a wife, and mom of 3 and have always been active and have made healthy food choices for myself and for our family. For months I had been searching for solutions to naturally help our 9 year old son focus better in school. I was trying all kinds of supplements and foods and nothing was helping him enough to notice. Then early October 2017., our family of 5 started using hemp oil and we noticed results right away. I had more energy, was sleeping better, and had a sense of peace and calm that I hadn’t had for a long time. My husband noticed his legs and feet weren’t as stiff in the mornings and also noticed the energy and sleep. Our 15 year old daughter said, “Im just happier! And we were noticing her smiling more and happier in the mornings and throughout the day. And our son, the reason I was sending strong prayers and doing so much research, well he told us he really noticed a difference and felt better. When I spoke to his teacher 2 weeks after starting to use hemp oil, she thought for a moment and reported that he had no missing assignments, he wasn’t zoning out in class, that she had moved his desk away from the front of the room and that he was doing great. She said, whatever you’re doing, keep doing it!
Thank you for sharing your story with us Cheryl!
